Mr. David Lee "Crockett" Searcy, age 57 of Four Oaks, NC transitioned from earth to his heavenly home on Tuesday Dec. 2 2014 at Johnston Medical Center Smithfield, NC.
Mr. Searcy was born to the late George and Lena Searcy January 28, 1957 in Jacksonville Fla. David is survived by 6 brothers; Rusty,David,George,Corey,Gerald,and Samuel, 6 sisters; Annette, Joshlyn, Juliett, Yolanda, Latashia, and Lucille, 1 uncle; James, a very special friend and partner Ernestine a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing and visitation and services for Mr. Searcy will be held in the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd. Smithfield, NC on Saturday Dec 13th at 12:00pm.

Mr. LeRoy Meachem Sr, age 91 of Durham, NC transitioned from earth to heavenly reward Tues. Nov. 18 at the Durham Va Medical Center.
Mr. Meachem was preceded in death by a son LeRoy Meachem Jr. He is survived by his wife Lillie Hunter Meachem, one grand-daughter, Latonya Murray (Jimmy), one daughter-in-law, Eleanor Meachem, one step son, Kenneth Hunter (Maria), one step-daughter Angela Kelly (Paul), and host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Meachem will be held Fri. Nov 21 at Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church 2806 Page Road Morrisville, NC 27560. Visitation and Viewing will begin at 12 noon followed immediately by the Homegoing services at 1:00pm.

Ms Charlena Gail Rodriguez, age 51 of Clayton, NC deceased Nov. 13, 2014 at her home. Funeral servces for Ms. Rodriguez are pending at this time.
Ms. Rodriguez was born to Richard and Elizabeth Adkins in Cleveland OH on May 11, 1963. She was preceded in death by her mother Elizabeth and her son Armando. She is survived by five daughters; Jasmine, Liza, Heather, Carmen, Margarita; four grandsons; Francisco, Diego, David, Israel; five grand daughters; Adrianna, Ilana, Zatana, Annabella, Dahlia; two brothers; Moses Jay and Richard and two sisters; Melissa and Lisa, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. William James "Billy Bam" Bunch, age 65 died on Sunday November 2, 2014 at his home located in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services for Mr. Bunch will be held Friday November 7 at 2:00 pm St. Peter's Church of Christ, Disciple of Christ Church located at 1102 Massey St. Smithfield, NC.
Mr. Bunch is the son of Mrs. Earlene Holden Nixon of Smithfield and the late James Arthur Bunch. He was married to Barbara Moore and to this union two daughters were born, Angela Denise Bunch and Alecia Ann Bunch. Mr. Bunch also leaves to cherish his memories; two brothers Donald and Dwayne Nixon; one sister Susan Nixon-Parker; two grandchildren Jasmaine Hocutt and Quentin Rouse and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Retina Robinson Thompson Sanders daughter of the late Allan Warren and Christine Sutton born on December 13 1968. She departed this world on Sept. 30 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital Goldsboro. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Alberta S. Lee and one uncle Terry Lee Robinson.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Robinson-Thompson Sanders will be held at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00pm Sat. Oct 11,2014. Viewing and visitation will take place prior to the services from 3:00pm until 4:00pm.

Ms. Rebecca Ann Price, age 60 transitioned on Monday October 6, 2014 at Johnston Medical Center Smithfield, NC. Mrs. Eliza Ellen Johnson George Riley, age 91, departed this life on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at home with her daughters comforting her. She was born to the late Daniel Johnson and Hallie Ray Johnson in Durham, NC. Funeral Services for Mrs Riley will be held Friday Sept. 26 at Covenant Presbyterian Church 2620 Weaver St Durham, NC. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. Services will begin promptly at 1:00pm.
Her husbands, Daniel L. George and Joseph F. Riley and her siblings (Lydia Mae, Samuel, Raymond, and Sidney) preceded Eliza in death. Cherishing her memory are her three daughters: Deborah George Giles, Burmadeane George, and Melva George Rigel; four grandchildren: Quiana Nicole Rigel, Alfonzo C. Rigel, Arienne Giles Hinson; four great grandchildren: Eliza Nicole Rigel, Braelynn Rhae Rigel, Aliyah Ann Rigel, and Malaika Amari Hinson. After her marriage to Joseph Riley, she assumed the role of stepmother to his adult children: Inez McClain, Carolyn Riley-Payne, and Deborah Riley. Eliza also leaves precious memories with her special cousins- Tazzie L. Henderson, Ernestine Holloway and Martha Holloway along with a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Lener Cornelia Cole Williams was born on January 17, 1934 in Four Oaks Township in Johnston County to the late Peter Quenzie and Noralener Merritt Cole. On Saturday, September 6, 2014 the Lord called our Beloved Lener home to rest.
Funeral Services for Evangelist Williams will be held Sunday Sept. 14th at the Western Assembly Headquarters on 701 Newton Grove, NC starting at 2:00pm, a visitation will be held for Evangelist Williams Saturday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Smith Chapel Church.
Lener’s legacy survives in her two sons, James Williams of Philadelphia, PA and Blaney Williams of the home; daughter Cheryal Bass Whetstone of Maryland, a godson, John McNeil of Shallotte NC; 4 goddaughters, Shawanda B. Battle of Raleigh NC, Angela O’Bledose, Shirley Bridges and Betty Jean O’Neal all of Zebulon NC a grandson, James Moore of Clinton, NC; a granddaughter, Nakiya Austin of Smithfield, NC; a great-granddaughter, Mckinley Moore of Clinton NC.
Siblings are Willie R. Cole of Willingboro, New Jersey and Ella Mae Lofton of Four Oaks NC. An uncle, Brazley Cornelius Cole, also lives to cherish her memory along with nine sister-in-laws: Christine Cole, Lois W. Pate, Lou Venia W. Sawyer both of Philadelphia PA, Ruth W. Brown of Roanoke VA, Minnie W. Burton of Rehobeth Beach DE, Bernicee Watkins, and Celestine Cheek of Greensboro NC and Jacqueline W. Raynor of Goldsboro NC; a brother in-law Ralph L. Williams of Greensboro NC; 6 nieces, 4 nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Candace Jacobs Dambra, age 61, a resident of Durham NC since 2007 passed on into the spirit world from the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC on August 25, 2014 after two years of battling the return of Metastatic Breast Cancer that spread in her body. She had been a long time resident in Falls Church, VA where she worked for the city of Falls Church and then had her own business as a Massage Therapist that gave her the opportunity to help heal clients which gave her the feeling of being helpful to others. She was preceded in death by her mother, Starr Lillian Canfield Jacobs whom passed in October 2013 in Alexandria, VA. "Candy" is survived by her life partner Christine Rowan of Durham, NC and father James M. Jacobs and step mother Sandy Jacobs of Cocca, FL. There was no service because it was Candace's desire to be cremated.

Mrs. Mildred Virginia Bell Williams age 90 of Smithfield, NC departed this life on September 5, 2014 at her Smithfield home while surrounded by family. Mrs. Williams was born to the late Donell Bell and Lousetta Sanders Bell, she was the wife of the late Hubert Williams, and is survived by a son William L. Watson, Jr. and one daughter Lasaundra Watson-Legate. Aunt "Mill" as she was known by her many nieces and nephews was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters; William R. Bell, Juanita B. Johnson, Joseph W. Bell, Ruth B. Murphy, James A. Bell, Carrie B. Swailes, Dewey E. Bell, Jesse Braxton Bell, Robert F. Bell, David Bell, and Frances Bell.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs.Williams are planned for Saturday Sept. 13th 11:00am at Galilee Baptist Church 2017 Galilee Rd Smithfield, NC 27577. A walk thru visitation is planned for Friday night Sept. 12th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at The Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC 27577.
