Mr. Gary DeWayne Isom Jr., was born June 19, 1972 to Emma Williams Saylon and Gary Isom Sr. Gary passed away at UNC Hospitals on Tue March 28 2017 after a brief illness.

Gary was a 1990 graduate of Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville and continued his education at Fayetteville Technical Community College receiving a degree in Criminal Justice. Gary continued his professional career with T-Mobile communications until his death.

Mr. Isom leaves to cherish his memories his wife Peggy Isom-Rodriguez, four children; DeWayne Isom, Carissa Isom- Rodriguez, Marissa Isom “Rodriguez, Albert Isom-Rodriguez, mother Emma Saylon, father Gary Isom Sr., grandmother Mary Williams, five siblings; DeVon Williams, Erica Isom, Colleen Isom-Rodriguez, Ray Isom, Robert Juliao and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Isom will be held Friday March 31, 2017 at the Juniper Grove Disciples of Christ Church 5350 US Highway 301 South Four Oaks, NC. Viewing will begin at 3:00 pm followed by funeral services at 4:00pm. A walk thru viewing will be held Thursday March 30th at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
