James Chevell Pearce was born on October 9, 1965, in Baltimore, Maryland to Janice F. Pearce and Jimmy R. Pearce, who preceded him in death. He was educated in Baltimore City Schools where he graduated from Southwestern High School.
After graduation James began his career by enlisting in the United States Army in 1990. From there he moved to Washington DC where he began working at Phillip Morris International. James returned home to Maryland to continue his career in law enforcement at the Federal Reserve Bank and later retired in 2012.
He leaves to cherish behind his memory, his loving mother Janice Pearce; four sisters: Robin Pearce, Roslyn Pearce, Tracey Blackmon, and Sharon Barnes, one brother: Derrick Clarke; two brothers-in-law: Kedric Blackmon, and Michael Barnes, one sister-in-law: Sonia Clarke and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Viewing: Friday April 1, 2022 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577.
Funeral Services:
Friday April 1, 2022 at 12:00 noon, Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. Services will stream live on our Facebook page at 12:00 noon. Maxium capacity allowed in Chapel is 35 persons. Family will be given priority seating.
