Our sincere condolences to the family of Mr. James "Jed" Brown Jr. Mr. Brown, age 61 passed quietly away on Sunday March 6th at Johnston Medical Center after a brief illness. James was one of seven children born to the late James Brown and Jessie Pearl Brown.James was a 1974 graduate of Smithfield-Selma Sr. High School.

He leaves to cherish his memory one uncle Conwell Chance, one aunt Barbara Chance, Thomas Brown, Cynthia Brown, Rosa Lee Brown, Rickey Williams and a special friend Teresa Holiday and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be held Friday March 11th at the Johnston Central Alumni Center Smithfield. Viewing and visitation will begin at 11:00am followed immediately by Homegoing services at 11:30am.
