Mr. Russell "Pete" Hines Jr.
Russell "Pete" Hines Jr. departed this life on Saturday February 8, 2025, in Smithfield, NC. Mr. Hines was the son of Russell Hines Sr., and Mable Hines. He was born August 22, 1956, in Johnston County, NC.
Russell served in the U.S. Army and was discharged Honorably. Russell was a God-fearing man that loved his church and loved getting together and talking with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell Sr., and Mable Hines, siblings; Christopher A. Hines, Kenneth Ray Hines, Debra Diane Solomon. Pete leaves to cherish his memories, one son; Rahjeesh Covington, five sisters; Mablerene McFadgen, Peggy McLean, Carolyn Sanders, Priscilla Smith and Wanda Burns, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him tremendously.
Arrangements:
Public Walk-thru Viewing Sunday February 16, 2025, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm
Celebration of Life Services: Monday February 17, 2025, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC at 12:00 noon. Viewing from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.
Interment: Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery 164 Longs Plant Farm Rd., Goldsboro, NC 27534 Tuesday February 18, 2025, at 12:00 noon.
