We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Alice Faye Chappell Ferrell, age 61 of Clayton, NC. Mrs. Ferrell passed away quietly in the early hours Wed.November 18th at her home in Clayton, NC.

Alice was born to James A. Chappell(deceased) and Sarah Barnes Chappell, She attended Smithfield-Selma Sr. High and graduated in 1972. Faye continued her education at Winston-Salem State University and received a BS. as a Registered Nurse in 1977. Alice was a member of Red Hill United Church of Christ and served in various duties.

Faye, leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband John J. Ferrell, her mother Sarah Chappell, two sons; Beri Chappell(Karen) and Michael Wilkerson, five step daughters; Wanda Ferrell-Wiggins(Jessie), Virginia Ferrell, Crystal Ferrell, Yvonne and Yvette

Ferrell, three sister; Patricia Neal, Melody Chappell, and Teresa O'Neal(Darryl), two brothers; James A. Chappell(deceased)wife Tonya Chappell, Phillip Chappell, two aunts; Mary Whitfield and Jeanette Sherrod and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wed. Nov. 25th at Red Hill United Church of Christ Church 10412 Buffalo Road Clayton, NC. Viewing and visitation will take place from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, the Celebration begins at 11:00 am. The family will receive guests on Tuesday evening from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel.
