Mrs. Earlene Holden Nixon, of Smithfield NC transitioned on Friday July 31 2015 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.

Earlene Holden Nixon was born May 10 in Longwoods, NC to the late Wille Holden and Easter Carmichael Holden. She was educated at Johnston County Training School and Payne's Business and Secretarial School in Raleigh. She also became a dedicated member of St. Peter Disciple of Christ Church where she served faithfully until her death.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband Claude Nixon and son William "Billy" Bunch (Barbara). She leaves to cherish her loving memory; Donald Nixon (Velvet), Susan Parker Nixon (Douglas), Dwayne Nixon, Marvin Nixon and William Charles Nixon. Also, mourning her memory are seven grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren

and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Nixon will be held at St. Peter DOC Church 1011 E Massey St Smithfield, NC. Viewing/Visitation begins at 12 noon until 1:00pm Friday at the church and services will start at 1:00pm.
