Hattie Haley Cooper, age 85, of Four Oaks, NC. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 25, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving and adoring family. Hattie was the 5th of 8 children born to Joseph Haley, Sr. and Pearl Williams Haley who preceded her in death along with her brothers, James Edward, Durwood Lamar, Dennis Carroll, William Earl, Joseph Jr., and sister Annie Pearl.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her husband of 56 years, Nathaniel Cooper, one sister Glenda Rodgers of Durham, NC and a stepsister Annette Haley of Raleigh, NC. Her adoring children, son Darryl Haley (Angela) of Wendell, NC, daughters, Michelle Thomas (Greg) of Annapolis, MD, and Cassaundra Cooper (Shane) of Lawrenceburg, KY, one granddaughter SeQouhya Wesley and two great grandchildren of Fulton, GA and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Hattie worked at Sylvania until it closed and later at Magnavox, JCI, Fieldcrest, and IGA. She was a volunteer for Hospice for many years. She was a beloved and active member of Juniper Grove Disciples of Christ Church where she faithfully served on the Mother Board (Chair), Usher Board, and Finance Committee and Asst. Church Secretary and served on numerous boards and auxiliaries in the church and community. Our hearts ache that she will no longer be with us, and she will be missed by all, but she will be waiting for us in Heaven, welcoming us all home.

Viewing: Sunday January 28, 2024 at Juniper Grove Disciple Church 5350 US 301 S Four Oaks, NC from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Remarks are encouraged at that time.

Funeral Services:  Monday January 29, 2024, at Juniper Grove Disciple Church starting at 11:00 am. Viewing 10:30- 11:00 am. Services will be streamed via Facebook Live Walter Sanders Funeral Home starting at 10:55 am.
