Mrs. Helenease Mitchener West, age 85 of Smithfield, NC was born Oct 4, 1929 in Johnston County NC to the late Jesse and Lena Mitchener. Mrs. West transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday Feb. 5. 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital Goldsboro, NC. Mrs. Helenease was preceded in death by her siblings Thurman, Lewis, Charles, Booker, David Mitchener and Betty Mitchener King. She is survived by three brothers Jesse, Lt. Col. James Earl and Calvin Mitchener, three sisters Louise Curtis, Eula Adeniji and Laverne Hocutt, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives all of whom will treasure memories of her.

Funeral services and viewing will take place on Wed Feb. 11.

Galillee Baptist Church 2017 Galillee Rd Smithfield, NC beginning at 12:30pm with the homegoing services beginning promptly at 1:00pm.
