Mrs. Janice M. Jones-Richardson, age 67 passed quietly away early Friday morning at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC with family by her side. Janice Maurice Jones Richardson was born to Mr. Carlton R. Jones and Lillian Davis Jones in Greenville County VA.After Graduation from high school she received further education from Virginia Commonwealth and later earned a degree in nursing. Janice worked for 44 years in the nursing field where she pursued her purpose of aiding others.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Carlton and Lillian Jones, one son Kevin N. Richardson, two brothers Vernon Jones Sr., Carlton Jones Jr, and one sister Barbara Jones. She leaves to cherish her

memories one daughter; Kia V. Jones of Richmond VA, one son; James M. Richardson, Jr of Durham NC, two brothers; Levon Jones of Graham NC, Vernon Jones Jr of Raleigh NC, two sisters; Joyce Carter of Atlanta GA, Myra Jones-Abid of Lexington Park MD, four grandchildren; Jual, Jahkazia, Keison, Kym and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends. Not to be excluded a best friend Pamela Roberts who was considered a sister and a good friend Lucille Williams of Smithfield NC.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Richardson will be held Wednesday August 19th at Greater Vision Worship Center 720 Second Ave Smithfield at 10:00am. Following the funeral services interment will take place at the Jones Family Cemetery Highway 634 Freeman, VA.
