Ms. Bridges worked as a seamstress for a clothing factory for many years. She retired from Days Inn Motel in Selma, NC. Ms. Clara enjoyed sewing quilts, spreads, and blankets. Her greatest joy was giving those items as gifts to others. Ms. Clara loved people and serving in her church. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Wilson’s Mills, NC. 

Ms. Bridges was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Artis Avery.

She is survived by her son Harvey Washington Jr., several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing: Friday August 25 at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Brightleaf Blvd Smithfield, NC from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.

Funeral Services: Sunday August 26 at First Missionary Baptist Church 40 Durant Rd Wilson's Mills, NC viewing 1:00 pm until 1:30 pm with funeral services at 1:30 pm. Services will stream live on our Facebook page starting at 1:25 pm.
