Mother. Edna J. Nixon Ray, age 86 passed away Tuesday December 17, 2019 at Johnston Health in Clayton, NC. Ms. Ray was born to Isham George Washington Nixon and Dessie Grantham Nixon on January 21, 1933 in Johnston County NC.
Mother Ray leaves to mourn her loss one son Stephen G. Ray (Susan) of Chicago, Il, one grand-daughter Kiara Ray of Upper Marlboro, Md., one brother E.C. Nixon (Eunice) of Four Oaks NC, two sisters; Mildred Lockett( Griffin David) of Four Oaks NC., Lillie Ward (Ezekiel) of Mt. Olive, NC, and host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Mother Ray will be Monday December 23, 2019 at Hickory Grove Disciples of Christ Church, 5260 Devil’s Race Track Rd Four Oaks, NC viewing from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. Funeral services will begin promptly at noon.
