Nora Mae Dawson Freeman age 96 was born December 14, 1919 in Valdosta, GA. She departed this earthly life May 20, 2019 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving daughter Ann Sanders. Nora resided in Brooklyn, NY were she married the love of her life Oscar Freeman, than relocated to Newark, NJ. Nora loved reading and was active with the senior citizens club at St. Mary’s Village located in Newark, NJ. After many years living in New Jersey Nora moved to North Carolina in 2015 to reside with her daughter Ann.

Nora leaves to mourn her loss, two Daughters Ann Sanders and Irma Freeman, three Sons Ronnie (Catherine), Gerard (Karen), Kevin Freeman, one niece Alice Dawson and one nephew Gilbert Dawson of New Jersey and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday June 1, 2019 at The Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. The family will receive guests from 11:00am until 12:00 Noon with funeral services following at 12:00 noon.
