Mr. Charles F. Smith
Charles Franklin Smith Sr. was born the oldest of six children on September 22, 1942, in Selma, North Carolina to Claude William Smith Sr. and Annie Ruth Durham Smith. After a long tedious struggle and decline in health, the Lord peacefully called Charles to Himself on June 2, 2023, while in St Francis Hospital in Port Washington N. Y.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Joann Bunch Smith, their 5 children: Adriane Hall (Warren), Dexter Smith (Tammy), Chimaine Smith, Joan Smith, Charles Smith Jr. (Nateisha). 5 siblings: Claude Smith Jr (Sally), Linwood Cornell Smith (Carrie), Karen Sanderson (Tommy), Jennifer Price (Elmer), Rodney Smith,13 grandchildren and 22 great - grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn a host of relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Charles will be missed by all.
Viewing and Visitation: 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Friday, June 16, 2023 at The Walter Sanders Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 302 S. Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield NC, 27577
Funeral Services: FACIAL COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED
Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Shiloh Christian Church, 211 Durham Street, Smithfield, NC 27577.
