Mr. Chester Douglas
Mr. Chester Douglas departed this earthly life on April 24, 2023 at Barbour Court
Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Smithfield, North Carolina.
He was born in Raeford, North Carolina and was the son of the late Johnny
Willblue and Annie Douglas Breeden.
He attended Scotland High School, farmed and worked in horse stables. He loved
landscaping and enjoyed being out side. His loved horses . Caring and working
with them was one of his hobbies.
Chester was preceded in death by his granddaughter ,Alisha Holder,
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: Children, Queenie Godwin of Bailey,
NC and Brenda Douglas of Tampa, Florida. Sisters: Sally Douglas Sanders of
Raeford, NC and Ethel Armwood (Bernard) of Wilson, NC. Brothers: Taff Farmer
(Julia May) , Wagram, NC, Daniel Breeden, Pine Hurst , NC, John Douglas (Katrena)
Tampa, Florida and Keith Douglas (Patricia) of Laurinburg, NC.
Three (3) grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held from 1pm - 5pm on Friday, April 28, 2023 in the chapel of Walter Sanders Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 302 S. Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the McGill Family Cemetery in Wagram, NC. Condolences may be left on our website at www.waltersandersfuneralhome.com
