Mr. David Earl Lofton, age 86 of Smithfield, NC passed away while a patient at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. NC on Tuesday September 22, 2020. Mr. Lofton was born in Bentonville, NC on September 12, 1934. He was the son of Hoodie and Arabella Lofton (deceased).
Upon completion of high school Mr. Lofton, had various jobs in the NC area, he later moved away and started a career in New York City as a certified butcher in April of 1968. He again returned to NC and settled down for a life of retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Rose Mae Lofton.
His memory is cherished by his daughter, Linda Lofton, step-children, Angela Troublefield, Monique Troublefield, Charles Troublefield, brothers, Nathaniel Lofton (Ella) of Four Oaks, NC., Richard Lofton (Shirley) of Clayton, NC., sister, Eloise Delloach of Ahoskie, NC., a host of other relatives and friends.
