Mr. Ernest Sylvester "Cutty" Avery , was born May, 19th 1949 in Johnston County, North Carolina to Walter and Mary Avery and transitioned on Tuesday, July 22, 2020 at the Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, N.C.
Mr. Avery leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Quenita Avery, of Four Oaks and Son, Aldostin Byrd (Kimberly) of Garner, brother Thomas Avery (Vernell) of Smithfield, sister Betty Jean Avery(Keith) of Smithfield, three granddaughters Lashe’ Tribble, of Colorado, Alexandria, and Alyssa Byrd, of Clayton, two great grandkids, Micah and Taylor Tribble, of Colorado and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing for Mr. Avery will be Sunday from 10:30 am until 11:45 am at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC (Face Masks are Required). Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 noon and will be limited to 19 persons (immediate Family) inside the Chapel.

Message: I was saddened to hear about the passing of Brother Ernest Avery. I have fond memories of Ernest. He was a frequent visitor to First Missionary Baptist Church and often participated in some of our church programs. We shall miss seeing him but we know that he will no longer have to deal with illness and the cares of this world.
