Mr. John "JT" Broadie age 83 of Selma, NC passed away on Monday January 4, 2021 while a resident at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield, NC. Mr. Broadie was born August 29, 1937 in Johnston County NC and was the son of Ms. Annie Mae Broadie(deceased).
Mr. Broadie leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mattie Broadie for over 60 years, children; Talethea Woods, Corey Woods, Juanita Barrow, Kenneth Mcmillan, Barbara King, siblings; Rena Watson, Nell Parker, Grim Froye, Willie Broadie, and a number of grandchildren, great grands and other relatives and friends.
JT loved fishing and worked as a excellent auto mechanic for Westside Garage and Perfect Ride Auto Sales in Smithfield.
Candle Light Memorial Services
for Mr. Broadie will be held Saturday January 9, 2021 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel located at 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC at 1:00 PM. Chapel Service restricted to 25 persons, Facial Coverings and Social Distancing is required. The memorial service will stream live on our Facebook page Saturday January 9, 2021 beginning at 12:55 PM.
