Mrs. Elizabeth Ancrum Blake, age 82 passed away Saturday January 2, 2021 while a resident at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Mrs. Blake was the child of Mr. and Mrs. William and Maybelle Ancrum and was born in Charleston, SC June 1, 1938.
Mrs. Blake was a great seamstress and loved making clothes for her collection of baby dolls. She was a homemaker and fun loving person, and never met a stranger.
Ms. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents William and Maybell Cobb Ancrum, children; Thomas Ancrum, Robert Green, James Green, Eugene Green, siblings; Roosevelt Ancrum, Julia Green, Robert Ancrum, Agnes Holmes, Mamie Lou Sanders, Samuel Ancrum and life long partner Julius Green.
She leaves to cherish her memories, children; Johnny Green, Ida Mae Lee, Sarah Ancrum, Matthew Green, Mary Ann Green, siblings; Bernice Mitchell, Isabelle A Murray, Anna Sanders, a special grad-daughter Regina K. Salters a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Walk-Thru Viewing
Thursday January 7, 2021 at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Facial Coverings are required.
Funeral Services
Friday January 8, 2021 in the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 noon. Services limited to 25 persons, Facial Coverings are required. Services will live stream on our Facebook page starting at 11:55 AM.
