We regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Melvin Hines, age 80 of Smithfield. Mr. Hines transitioned on Monday October 2, 2017 while a resident at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by two sisters; Christine Sanders, Miley Penny, one brother, Ed Hines, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Hines will be held Saturday, Oct 7 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield. Public viewing will be Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00 noon with funeral services beginning at 12:00 noon.
