Message: We called him Smitty, he called me Sid when we met very early in our Navy careers—stationed In Bremerton WA. We visited a club called the Mariners for Young Sailors.
Smitty loved to talk, and so did I we had a “few” while playing a few games of pool. Super competitive, and loyal when we both realized we were from NC we bonded and became close friends. We lost touch for many years. One day while speaking with my cousin she brought him up in our conversation I quickly started to reminisce. Smitty connected with my friends and family in Tacoma WA. He bonded with them they had become a team with lots of love.
In closing my condolences to the family and friends. Continue to SMILE bro! Jehovah has you now
