Mr. Terry Lee Atkinson "TA"
Terry Lee Atkinson, of Four Oaks, North Carolina, transitioned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Terry was born June 27, 1963, in Wayne County, NC. He was a graduate of South Johnston High School, Four Oaks, NC, class of 1982. After graduation, he worked with Watson’s Electrics and Exide Electronics. He opened his own business under the name “Terry’s Rims and Trims,” and operated a lawn care business in Four Oaks, NC; ultimately, helping his son to establish his towing and recovery business under the name “Justin’s Towing.”
He is pre-deceased by his parents Eddie & Carrie Atkinson, his brother Tony Atkinson, two nephews: Tony Devon Atkinson and Angelo Williams; a brother-in-law, Charlie Dillard, and a cousin, Dr. Henry Rodgers.
His survivors are: wife, Linda G. Smith; son, Justin Atkinson; siblings: Esther Dillard, Carolyn Partridge, Joyce Atkinson, Eddie D. Atkinson, and M. Wayne Atkinson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive guests at the home of John & Carolyn Partridge, 1517 Creech Rd., Garner, NC, during the hours of 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., thru Tuesday, October 8th.
Funeral Services are scheduled as follows:
Public Viewing: Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024; from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services, 302 Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A viewing will precede the funeral beginning at 1:00, at Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church, 8566 Devil’s Racetrack Rd., Four Oaks, NC (The Bentonville Community).
