Mrs. Gladys Pearl Lofton entered into the world September 28, 1944. She was born to Stacey Harrington and Lovie Sanders. Mrs. Lofton transitioned on Tuesday September 10, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family at her residence in Clayton NC.

Mrs. Lofton attended Johnston County Schools and she also attended and graduated from Johnston Technical College in Smithfield, NC. She worked at Telex for over 20 years where she retired.

Mrs. Lofton is survived by her loving children; Milton, Tangela, and Lisa, five grands, one brother, one sister and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday September 14, 2019 at Howell Chapel Church 214 E. Preston St Selma, NC. Viewing will begin at 11:00am followed by eulogistic services at 12:00 noon. Mrs.Lofton will lie in state at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel on Friday September 13, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00pm for public viewing.
