Mrs. Jackie Moore Grantham

Mrs. Jackie Moore Grantham, of Smithfield transitioned on Saturday December 31, 2022 at Johnston Health Clayton. Mrs. Grantham was born on May 5, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Irene Moore. Jackie attended and graduated from Johnston County Technical Institute in 1972. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church for many years. Her hobbies included cooking, playing cards and other games, and listening to good music. 

Jackie was often referred to as “JG” or “Jac” by many and she loved and treated everyone like family. She worked for Johnston Memorial Hospital for 15 years before switching careers and working in the food and beverage industry with Wendy’s where she subsequently retired in 2013. She was married to the late Ronnie Grantham. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grantham was preceded in death by four brothers, John Moore, Dennis Moore, Issac Moore, and Floyd Moore. 
She leaves to cherish her memory  three children; one son Carlos (Shana) Grantham; two daughters LaShawn Grantham, Entinna (Will) Grantham, four grandchildren; Dayquan Grantham, Kamiyah Grantham, William “Tre” Webster III, Dontae’ Wiggins; two step – grandchildren Zyoin Boger, Zamir Boger; four sisters Janet Williams, Barbara Bunch, Peggy Rodriguez, Brenda Jackson and one brother David Moore. 

Arrangements: Public Viewing Friday January 13, 2023 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
