Mrs. Marie S. Barbour
Marie S. Barbour was born December 26, 1930 to the late Paul and Malissia Sanders in Clayton, NC. She departed this life on Thursday January 26, 2023.
Marie attended elementary school at Clayton Elementary and graduated from Johnston County Training School (J.C.T.S) in Smithfield, NC.
Her sprititual walk began as a child at Burning Bush Holiness Church, Smithfield and later at Willing Worker Holiness Church where she served faithfully on the Mother Board until her health began to fail.
Marie worked at Jerald's Manufacturing in Smithfield, Johnston Community College and Britthaven Nursing Home until her retirement.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son; James Sanders (Evelyn) of the the home and numerous other relatives and friends.
Walk-Thru viewing Thursday February 2, 2023 at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremations Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield, NC from 2:00pm until 5:00pm.
Funeral Services: Friday February 3, 2023 at Shiloh Christian Church 211 Durham St Smithfield, NC. Viewing from 11:00am until 12:00noon with Eulogistic services starting at 12:00 noon. Facial coverings are required. Live streaming on our Facebook page will start at 11:55 am.
