Mrs. Mary C. Lewis, age 99 transitioned from labor to reward Friday November 14, 2019 at Gabriel Manor Assisted Living in Clayton, NC. Mrs. Lewis was born December 1, 1919 in Sampson County, NC her parents now deceased were John and Maggie Cox.

She attended school in Sampson County and worked for many years in the textile industries.

Mrs. Lewis leaves to mourn her loss Billie R. Merritt, Troy Jr. Merritt, Mary A. Darden, Barbara Peten, Betty Lee, Curtis Lewis, many grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Services are planned for Thursday November 21, 2019 at the Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church 8566 Devils Racetrack Rd., Four Oaks, NC, viewing 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm. Public viewing will be held at Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd., Smithfield on Wednesday Nov 20 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
