Mrs. Sarah S. Diggs of Smithfield, NC transitioned on January 13th at SECU Hospice House Smithfield. Mrs. Diggs was born September 27, 1918 to the late Ora and Romie Sanders in Johnston County, NC.
She was married to the late Richard Diggs for 73 years and is mother to Lois Diggs Smith (Addison), Harold Diggs (Hazel). She leaves to mourn her loss 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, one brother John E. Sanders. Also, left to cherish her memories are 3 sister-n-laws; Willie Meta Diggs, Leola Sanders, Dorothea Sanders and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services for Mrs. Sarah S. Diggs are scheduled for Thursday January 19th at 1:00pm Galilee Missionary Baptist Church 2017 Galilee Rd Smithfield, NC. Public viewing will be held at Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
