Ms. Angela Faye Lane, age 57 of Smithfield, NC transitioned on Wednesday February 19, 2020 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill, NC surrounded by loving family members. Angela was born July 3, 1962 in Smithfield, NC. Her parents were Mary Barfield Byrd and Walter Lane both whom predeceased her.
Angela attended Johnston County Public Schools and was a graduate of Smithfield-Selma Sr. High School. She was a superb seamstress specializing in custom drapes and also worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a number of years. Angela was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Deliverance, and served as an evangelist. She loved the Lord, her family and served her community faithfully.
Angela is survived by one son; Justin Taylor, two daughters; Kiana Lucas, Carlissia Lucas, one grandchild; Shamia Harrington, two brothers; Anthony Lane, Lorenzo Lane, step dad Mr. Owen Byrd, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Angela F. Lane will greet friends at the home of Reginald Sanders 922 East St. Smithfield, NC on Friday February 28, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. There will be a memorial service to remember Ms. Angela Lane on Saturday February 29, 2020 at Mt. Zion Church of Deliverance starting at 1:00 pm.
