We regret to inform you of the passing of Ms. Sharon O’Neta Hooks age 63 of Smithfield, NC. Ms. Hooks transitioned Saturday February 8, 2020 at her home surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born March 31, 1956 to James and Jewel Hooks in Johnston County, NC. Sharon attended Johnston County Schools and graduated with the class of 1974 from Smithfield-Selma Senior High School. Following high school Sharon attended Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh. She was employed with several companies including Siemens and Carolina Pottery.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memories one son; Kenneth Lamont Parnell Jr., mother; Jewel Hooks, sister; Beverly Groves, brother; Anthony Hooks, a host of other relatives and friends. Sharon was predeceased by her father James Hooks and brother Kenneth Hooks.
Services for Ms. Hooks are scheduled for Friday, February 14 2020 at Johnston Chapel FWB Church, 6147 Raleigh Rd Benson, NC 27504. Viewing begins at 12:30 and funeral services at 1:00pm. The public is also invited to view her on Thursday February 13, 2020 at the Walter Sanders Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
