Ms. Brenda Faye Bradley age 73 passed away Thursday December 3, 2020. Brenda Faye Atkinson Bradley, was born to the late Evondi Atkinson and the late Mattie Pearl Atkinson on August 23rd, 1947 in Bentonville, NC. She was the eldest of three children.
Brenda attended Johnston Central High School in Smithfield, North Carolina, graduating in 1965. After attending high school, Brenda later attended Berkeley College in White Plains, New York which was a fashion design school.
Brenda was preceded in glory by her mother, Mattie Pearl Atkinson, father, Evondi Atkinson; grandmother, Mabel McDaniel; brothers, Derry and Ricky; and sister, Jewel Quarels.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Chiwonesa ‘Chewy’ Hargrove, son-in-law, James Hargrove, Jr., James’ mom and her 2nd floor ‘neighbor’, Lauren Hargrove; grandchildren (who affectionately called her ‘Uma’), Ayana Naliya Robinson (Durrell), Jaymes Xavier, Miracle Ann; her great-grand children, Jason, Nathan, Gregory, and Kennedy; her nieces, Myesha, Sharicka, Ursula, Tiffany and Taliya; nephews, Darrick “Shon”, her cousins with special mention to, Margarette Ray and her good friends, Kathy Moore, Evette Giddens, Clarise and Mary; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel Saturday December 19, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Facial coverings are required and only 15 persons will be allowed in the chapel at a time.`A portion of the visitation will stream live on our Facebook page between 11am and 1pm.
Burial Immediate Family Only will take place at the Atkinson Family Cemetery 2125 Scout Rd Four Oaks, NC at 1:30pm Saturday December 19. Facial coverings and social distancing are required, maximum of 25 persons. Services will stream live on our Facebook page beginning at 1:30 pm.
