Ms. Josephine Williams
Ms. Josephine Williams was born on December 8, 1942 in Johnston County, North Carolina to the late Roosevelt and Beatrice Williams. She departed this life on Friday, February 10, 2023.
"Joe" was educated in the Johnston County Public schools and was employed by Fieldcrest Mills until her retirement. Left to cherish her memories are daughters: Bernice Williams of Salisbury, NC and Sherry Williams of Smithfield NC; Three sisters: Mattie Whitley of Broadway NC, Clarice Williams of Four Oaks NC, and Gail Watson of Garner NC; one brother: Darnell Williams (Robin) of Clayton, NC, and one brother -in law, Rodney Watson of Selma NC. Ms. Williams also leaves behind six grandchildren, nine great - grandchildren and a host of other beloved family and friends.
Viewing and Visitation : 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023 at The Walter Sanders Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 302 S. Brightleaf Blvd., Smithfield, NC 27577. Masks are suggested upon entry.
Funeral Services: Friday, February 17, 2023 at New Generation Christian Church, 4423 Wilsons Mills Rd., Smithfield, NC 27577. Viewing from 12:00 -12:30 PM with services beginning at 12:30 PM. Services will stream via our Facebook page.
