Ms. Peggy M. Young
Peggy Young, 76, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023, passing peacefully in her sleep. Peggy was born October 9, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Edwin R. Garrity and Elizabeth Boynton Garrity Laliberte. She was one of five children. She has three children, Chris Torrick (Pamela) of Alpine, CA, Dale Torrick (Joy) of Selma, NC and Heather Vines (Brian) of Conway, AR. She has four grandchildren, Joshua Vines, Caleb Vines, Grayson Torrick and Aubrey Torrick. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tom Garrity (Carol) of Cabot, AR. She is survived by her sister Ann Fagan (Lew) of Block Island, RI, sister Joan Sunbury (John) of Baytown, TX and brother Emile Laliberte (Janis) of Stratford, CT. Peggy also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Peggy pursued a career in nursing, earning a psychiatric nursing degree (LPTN) from the Arkansas State Hospital in Benton, AR in 1982. Peggy worked most of her career in Arkansas, retiring to Bella Vista. She recently relocated to Selma, NC. Peggy was a very caring person who loved life and never met a stranger. She also had a love for animals. She will be missed by her family, friends, and church family.
A Memorial Service is planned for a later date.

Message: We love you darling Peggy. You became a huge part of our family back in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
You loved my sweet momma and cared so much for her in her last years of her life. She loved you like a sister. You would come so many days during the week and often times weekends to take her out shopping and lunch or a movie. You’d often say “ your mom and I are going out plundering!”
You made her days so full of fun. We will miss you much yet we look forward to seeing you again one day in God’s Great Kingdom! We will all be together again praising and worshipping our Good and Great Lord eternally!

Message: Peggy was a very loving and caring neighbor and wonderful friend when we lived across the street from each other in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Peggy always had a smile, a good word to say and was a close friend to our mother, Gladys Sanders. We can't begin to say how much Peggy meant to us and know she is a bright star in Heaven.
