Ms. Margaret Leigh Richardson
Margaret L. Richardson, of Kenly, North Carolina, was born to the late Jesse Mae Banks and Willie C. Jones. On March 7, 1933, she began a life filled with love and dedication to her family. Margaret was the devoted wife of the late Herbert "Hershey" Richardson, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Together, they built a family and a life of strong values, love, and care.
Margaret worked part-time as a housekeeper but spent the majority of her life as a full-time homemaker, pouring her heart and soul into raising her family. She and Herbert started their family early, raising five children: Herbert Richardson Jr., Jesse Mae Burns (Willie), Linwood Richardson, Carl Richardson, and Earl Dickerson (Bernice). Her children, along with her 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, were the center of her world.
Margaret is survived by her loving sisters, Alice Johnson and Phyllis Canarick (Micheal). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herbert "Hershey" Richardson, her sister Jane Hinnant, and her brothers Luther Williams, Jerry Williams, and David Williams. She cherished her many nieces and nephews, forming deep connections with each one of them. Her warmth, compassion, and generosity touched the lives of many, and she was a beacon of love and strength for all who knew her.

Thursday September 26, 2024, at the Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel beginning at 1:30 pm.
