Mary Deloris DeVane Emanuel
Mary Deloris (Dee) DeVane Emanuel was called homeward on Thursday, June 22, 2023 while in Rex Hospital, Raleigh, NC.
She was born on September 26, 1952. She was the daughter of Morrall (deceased) and Mary B. DeVane and was a sibling to Remolyer (deceased) (Raymond), a baby girl (stillborn at birth), Jerusha Ann, Dianne, Morrall (Buddy) Jr. (deceased), Arizona (Annette), Donald Lenal (Sarah) and William Mazeroski (Jennifer).
She was the mother of three children, Paul Jr., Sannie Chanel and William Marcus and grandmother to nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a special niece (especially to her Aunt Mickey), cousin and relative to a host of extended family and friends (particularly her longtime girlfriend and buddy, Vivian P. Williams).
Mary completed her elementary education at Bland Elementary School in Harrell’s, NC and went on to attended Clear Run High School in Garland, NC up until her junior year and graduated with her senior class at Union High School in Delway, NC.
