Deacon Emeritus Lindsay Shelton Williams
Deacon Emeritus Lindsay Shelton Williams was born to the late Norman Hood and Sudie (Nixon) Williams on March 28, 1937 in Wayne County, NC.
Lindsay was a proud graduate of the Class of 1956 from the Johnston County Training School in Smithfield, North Carolina a graduate of Harris Barber College, Raleigh, NC where he received his Diploma/State License, a 1974 graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, Capital Heights, MD having earned a degree in Auto Mechanics.
Deacon Emeritus Williams joined the Air Force on September 19, 1956 and received an Honorable Discharge on September 18, 1960 from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Goldsboro, NC and was awarded a "Good Conduct Medal".
During his tenure in the Air Force, he also served as a Motor Vehicle Body Repairman.
With a passion for people and years of experience in the industry, Deacon Emeritus Lindsay Shelton Williams developed a strong set of skills and a proven record of success.
In addition to his parents Norman Hood and Sudie (Nixon) Williams, Deacon Emeritus Williams was preceded in death by his sister; Hattie Dublin, brothers; Macon Williams, Rufus Williams, Hubert Williams, and Norman Williams, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 60 years Geneva Bennett Williams, two goddaughters; Avery Nakisha Brooks, Chiquita Hicks, one godson; James Eric Sturdivant, and one brother; Bobby Snead, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
