Jimmy Raiford, age 68 of Smithfield, NC left this earth in the comfort of his home on July 16, 2017. Jimmy was born September 1, 1948 in Durham NC his parents were Huebert and Della Raiford. After graduation from Johnston Central High School, Jimmy enlisted in the US Army where he served Honorably. Once Jimmy left the service he became a hard working entrepreneur.
He leaves behind his loving wife Karen, 1 sister 12 children, 1 special grandson, an abundance of grands, great-grands and numerous other family and friends.
Services for Mr. Raiford will be held Saturday, July 22, St. Peter Church of Christ DOC 1101 Massey St Smithfield. Viewing begins at 12noon followed by funeral services at 1:00pm. A walk-in visitation will be held at The Walter Sanders Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel 302 S. Bright Leaf Blvd Smithfield Friday night July 21 from 4:00pm until 7:.00pm.
