Mrs. Daisy Daniels Boone
Daisy Daniels Boone was born on September 5,1928 in Pikeville, North Carolina to the late Floyd and Mary Jones. She departed this earthly life on September 5, 2023.
Daisy was educated in the public schools in Goldsboro, North Carolina, graduating from Dillard High School then attending and graduating from NC A& T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina
Education was very important to Daisy as she extended her educational career in several endeavors of educational work.
She was active in her church community at St. James Presbyterian Church and was an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband, Douglas Boone of the home. Two daughters, Sheryl Meachem Mills & Ava Meachem Weaver, Charlotte, North Carolina. Stepson, Douglas Boone Jr. (Evelyn), Greensboro, North Carolina. Several loving grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Siblings: Floyd Daniels (Alice), Archie Daniels (Shirley) and Bobby Daniels (Joy).
Daisy also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Message: Mrs. Boone was a wonderful, caring, and kind person. I was a student at Southeast Senior High School where she was a counselor, and I always loved seeing her because she was always welcoming and had a big smile. It was a blessing to have her as a role model. She was very helpful, poised, and classy. As a community resident, I found her always thoughtful and looking out for everyone. She was truly a queen! May she rest in peace.❤️🙏

Message: I had the good fortune of being one of her students in 1971. She set high standards for us in all aspects of language arts and my grammar and literacy are better because of her efforts. She was always prepared, poised, and professionally dressed, and modelled those things each and every day. Beyond the course work, she offered direct feedback, laid out our potential to become better that we could imagine, and provided encouragement with a slight smile and a twinkle in her eyes.
